Harriet's Pretzel Salad

First Layer:
2 cups broken pretzels
1 1/2 sticks margarine
3 Tbsp. sugar

Spray 9x13 pan with Pam. Melt margarine. Add sugar to margarine, mix, and pour over the pretzels. Spread pretzel mixture into the pan and bake for 8 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool before adding second layer.

Second Layer:
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 carton (8 oz) cool whip

Mix cream cheese and sugar. Add cool whip and spread over the cooled pretzel mixture.

Third Layer:
2 small wild strawberry jello
1 chopped apple
1 cup chopped pecans
1 small can crushed pineapple (well-drained)

Mix jello according to package directions and let partially gel. (Do this first and let it thicken as you do the other layers). When jello is partially thickened, add apple, pecans, and pineapple. Pour over the cream cheese mixture and refrigerate.

Harriet Ellis brought this to our Thanksgiving Dinner for our Life Group. I wanted to post the recipe for you girls since we had the other recipes there. Enjoy! Thanks Harriet!
