Psalm 71:1-16

I must confess, today has been a very difficult day for me. I can't really go into it at this point but I thought someone else might be struggling so I wanted to share with you what I found. As I was looking out one of the windows on the back of my house, praying as earnestly as I knew how I happened to look down and found the March issue of "The Daily Bread." Because my eyes were filled with tears at the time, I couldn't focus on what month it said on the front of the cover. As I was staring into the gray sky with such depth, trying to see if I could reach God with my eyes the thought came to mind, "why are you looking so hard into that big sky as if you are searching for God when He's right here."

I finally focused on the "Daily Bread" booklet and thought, this can't be a mistake in my finding this so of course I turned to today, March 14. The passage is Psalm 71:1-16. When I read the first half of verse 1, I knew it was no mishap that I found it.

If you are struggling over a situation that has taken you by storm or caused your faith to waiver, I want to encourage you to turn there and read all 16 verses. It took me a while to get through them because I had to make many of these verses a prayer.

Be encouraged!
